Gearoid McCarthy

Gearoid McCarthy, a native of Foynes, County Limerick, first stepped into the spotlight as a solo singer on RTÉ’s Class Act, where he impressively secured third place. A few years later, he joined the popular West Limerick band Mad for Road, further establishing his presence on the Irish music scene.

His musical journey then took him across the Atlantic, performing for two years as part of the resident band at Raglan Road in Disney World, Orlando. From there, Gearoid hit the global stage, touring internationally with the acclaimed show Celtic Legends for another two years.

Eventually returning home, he brought his own show to life in the heart of Dublin’s Temple Bar, performing in its famous pubs. Today, Gearoid continues to captivate audiences with his talent and passion for music — and he will be live at the Abbey Hotel, Donegal, on October 11th, 2025.
